Description: This dataset is a high-resolution wetland inventory developed under the CWI framework. These geometry were captured from imagery takenprimarilyin the fall of 2007 and 2009. The dataset characterize the abundance and distribution of wetlands in areas of Ducks Unlimited target areasof AlexanderGriswol,Killarney,MinnedosaShoal, and Virden.These base data were captured and classified following the National Hydro Network Data Model Alpha Edition (2010-04). In keeping with this standard this dataset classifies wetland features to the mandatory 5 classes of the CWI (Bog, Fen, Swamp, Marsh, Shallow Open Water) and also includes the optional Soil, System, and Impact attributes.Photo Interpretation follows guidelines established in "Canadian Wetland Inventory - Prairie Wetland Interpetation Guide, Version 2". (DUC, 2014).
